Two car MVA at interstate exit 10B
At approx 11:38 pm CMVFR received a call for a 2 car MVA at interstate exit 10B. Upon arrival 55 personnel advised 2 cars heavy damage with a patient entrapped. Patient was freed within 5 minutes of arrival. 2 patients were transported; one with life threatening injuries by GEMS.

CMVFR arrived at 8:20 pm to find 2 vehicles with medium to heavy damage. All patients were free from the vehicle. Crews from Crowders Mountain Fire controlled traffic and assisted GEMS with treating patients. One patient transported with minor injuries.

On Tuesday, CMVFR responded to a vehicle fire in the area of US-74 and I-85 interchange. Responding units arrived to find heavy fire coming from the engine compartment. Crews controlled the fire within 10 minutes of arriving. No injuries reported.

At approx. 6:00 PM, CMVFR was dispatched to a multi vehicle crash in the area of Freedom Mill Rd. and Lewis Rd. Responding units found a three vehicle accident with major damage. One patient was entrapped and freed within 5 minutes of arriving on scene.

House Fire on Little Mountain Road and Kay Drive
At approximately 10:15 PM, CMVFR was dispatched to a house fire in the area of Little Mountain Rd. and Kay Dr. Upon arrival, units found the residence with light smoke coming from the house. An interior attack was rapidly conducted and saved a majority of the residences belongings. About 15 firefighters were on scene.

Structure Fire on Saddlewood Drive
Personnel from Station's 50, 51 and 55 worked tirelessly for over 2 hours to extinguish and overhaul the fire. In the process of fighting, fire personnel from New Hope Fire Department found 3 small bunnies behind the structure.

EMT's from CMVFR and Gaston County EMS provided care and comfort to the bunnies who were partially covered in soot from the fire. Eventually CMVFR personnel took the bunnies to Connie with Creekside Wildlife Rescue in Shelby who took them in at short notice and will provide rehab to the newborn bunnies! No other injuries were reported and the Gaston County Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

At approximately 9:00 PM Thursday night, CMVFR responded to a single vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon arrival units reported a single vehicle accident with heavy damage. Crews from CMVFR quickly freed the patient.
